Hashtag Workspace | Fresno Friday

Fresno Friday

Sometimes you have an awesome idea in your head, and you think “why doesn’t this exist in my town?” And sometimes, upon googling, you realize: not only does it already exist, it is way more awesome than you were imagining in your head! A few weeks ago, I was thinking how cool it would be if there were some great collaborative workspaces around. Well it turns out there are, indeed, some great workspaces in Fresno! Today we’re taking a closer look at Hashtag Fresno!

I had not heard of the Hashtag Fresno workspace until I was recently looking around on Bitwise Industries’ website. (More about Bitwise in a minute.) Hashtag Fresno “provides a convenient, local work space for individuals, teams, and small businesses with all the productivity-boosting amenities of a downtown office, without the hike.” They are a modern space in downtown Fresno where you can work or collaborate. Perfect for those of us who don’t have an office, but kinda wish we could chat at the water cooler every once in a while. ? I was so excited when I saw what Hashtag was all about, that I had to get in touch.

So, I got connected with Carley through the Hashtag website, and she set up a little tour for me. (This tour is something you can take, too, it’s not just for big time bloggers like me. ?) I wanted to see the space in person, and learn more about what they offer.

So, I met up with Carley at the Bitwise Industries south stadium in downtown Fresno. Hashtag is part of Bitwise Industries. If you don’t already know about Bitwise Industries, they are the “mothership of technological education, collaboration, and innovation in Fresno.” If you visit their “about us” section, you’ll see the words at the top of the page “this is how you change everything.” They have a vision to push Fresno in the right direction through education and technology, and they are totally succeeding! It’s really exciting to see how they are encouraging growth in Fresno.

A nice little cafe greets you when you step inside Bitwise. I just love the modern industrial look inside this place. the cafe just inside of bitwise in Fresno

Carley took me from the main Bitwise campus to the Hashtag location a couple blocks away. I got to ride in the coolest golf cart I have ever been in. 🙂

We took the stairs down to the workspace, and got to look around.

Here’s just a glimpse of the space. The actual space continues much farther than the video shows. There are conference rooms for meetings, a kitchenette with free coffee, and super fast wifi. There are so many different types of seating arrangements if you need to mix it up while you work. Such a cool space!

Perhaps my favorite part of the space is their amazing outdoor patio. This patio is private, and surrounded by office buildings, so it’s a perfect work environment. The patio at Hashtag work space in Fresno

There’s even a hammock! hammock on the roof of hashtag work space

Hashtag is located on Kern between Van Ness and L Street near some other great businesses. Tree of Life and Char Burger are right there to grab a quick lunch. Kern street corner in Fresno

We haven’t tried Char Burger yet, but that’s definitely on our list! They are open weekdays from 11:00am-2:00pm, so you have to catch them while they’re open! I’ve heard nothing but great things. Can’t wait to check it out!Char Burger in downtown Fresno

If you want to learn more about Hashtag and their membership options, check out their website! (https://hashtagfresno.com/membership/)  I really appreciate that Hashtag offers day passes! How perfect for people who might not need a space everyday, but still might enjoy having a space to get away and focus now and then! My next step is to get a day pass and try to knock out some projects I’m working on. ? Keep doing awesome things, Hashtag Fresno! See you all next Friday!

I love this city. (Fresno, and Clovis, that is.) Sure, Fresno has made it's way into the punch line of somebody's joke a time or two. (It's good to laugh at yourself, right?!) But when I think of Fresno and Clovis, I think of all the great people here. I think of all the innovative businesses popping up left and right. I think of the bright minds working hard to bring amazing events to our community. I love that our photo booth gets to be a part of so many of these awesome occasions in the area. The more events we do, the more I realize we've got a great thing going in our (not so) little city. There is a lot of talent here, and a lot of u ...

Cavelle Kids | Fresno Friday
On this lovely Fresno Friday, I am so excited to feature Cavelle Kids and the designer behind the adorable clothing, Jessica Elrod. Cavelle Kids is home to some of the absolute cutest children's clothing you will ever see, and their flagship store is right here in Old Town Clovis. Jessica (who is as sweet as she is talented) runs the business alongside her husband, Todd, and personally designs the clothing for Cavelle Kids. The other week on Instagram, I saw that Jessica would be hosting story time at her shop! I am always looking for community activities for my daughter Jackson, so I marked it on my calendar immediately. We walked into th ...

I have been admiring Nicole and Candi's work since I first saw it back in 2011. Over the years, I have been completely inspired by the incredible art they create, and I am so excited to feature them today on Fresno Friday! (Special thanks to Erica Houck for all of the photos used on the blog today! http://ericahouck.com) Let me introduce you to the talented ladies behind TradeMark Handmade Inspired! I asked them some fun questions this week, and they had some delightful answers! They also stumbled upon a new alternative to the traditional handshake greeting that I think we should all adopt asap! But we'll get to all of that at the end  ...
